Studio Rules and Class Etiquette

Students are expected to display polite and respectful behavior towards the faculty, staff and fellow students at all times. Disruptive students will be asked to sit in the waiting area until they are able to behave properly.  Students should arrive on time, dressed per dress code, with long hair pulled back, and ready to dance. Please, attend to all bathroom needs prior to the start of class. Please do not enter the studio rooms without an instructor or a staff member present, and remove street shoes before entering.  Chewing gum, eating, running, and hanging on the ballet barres in class is not permitted. Cell phones must be turned off during classes as they may interrupt the flow of class. Missed classes may be made up in another class designated by the instructor,  there will be no credit issued or applied toward tuition.  After January 1st any student missing 6 or more classes may not be allowed to participate in the annual performance.  For the safety of our students all students under the age of 13 must wait inside the studio for an accompanying adult to pick them up.

Food and drink

There is a vending machine on the premises with water, Snapple and juices, however water is the only beverage allowed in the class rooms. Water breaks may be given periodically by the instructor. Soda, juices, and other colored beverages are not permitted in the dance rooms.

Waiting room etiquette

The same respectful and polite behavior is expected from all family members and guests while they are on the premises. Running, yelling, playing ball, disrupts the classes and will not be tolerated.  We ask that any siblings present be under constant parental supervision. Toys for younger children are available in the waiting room area, however if your child takes something out please put it back in its place. For the comfort of others, please do not dispose of diapers in the trash cans in the waiting room or bathrooms, there is a dumpster located in the parking area. Remember, this is an educational facility and we ask that everyone conduct themselves in an appropriate manner.
